I’ve taught Sketchup at Front Range Community College, the University of Colorado and have taught hundreds of students online. My interest in SketchUp started with my love for snowboarding. I started designing and building snowboard parks when I was 18. SketchUp was the perfect tool for the job. It allowed me to quickly draw the 3D ideas I had in my head. In the summers, I started teaching architects how to use the program. Compared to the complex curves of terrain parks, the straight lines in architecture were easy. Over the years I made thousands of models and have expanded my skills to include product design, 3D print modeling, construction documents, Layout, piping models, topographic models, and various other projects. After completing an MS Interior Architecture degree at the Boston Architectural College, and a BA(Hons) from Staffordshire University, I have experience using SketchUp Pro, SU Podium, SU Podium Walker, Revit LT 2020 and TwinMotion (basics) and I am familiarized with the online designfiles.co platform for e-design projects. I have over 10 years of experience using multiple CAD platforms such as Fusion 360, NX 9, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, and more. This experience stems from my passion for design and engineering. In high school, I was on a robotics team as a machinist and designer, creating parts using mills, lathes, and other tools while designing actuating arms and other robotic sub-assemblies. I've worked as a fabricator, welder, and machinist, taking on jobs that involved building everything from airplanes and 3D printers to hot dog carts. My work experience has taught me the most important lesson for designers: how things are made. I will not only assist with your introduction to Fusion 360 but also your start as a designer. I started using Blender in 8th grade. At the time I was interested in prehistoric animals and wanted to be able to depict them as they were in life. Eight years of practice have gotten me to where I am today. Now I freelance and tutor on several sights and am comfortable making nearly anything look photorealistic in Blender. I am a Professor in the field of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). holding a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University, an Associate in Science degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Joliet Junior College, and two design & drafting certifications in the Electro-Mechanical and Printed Circuit Board Technologies from Hall Institute in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

I have been teaching AutoCAD classes at the collegiate level for over 30 years. Serving as the CAD Program Coordinator for Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois, the program’s student advisor, and the hardware and software of the CAD program’s physical plant. My program curriculum includes learning outcomes for both 2D & 3D modeling degrees. The course work is designed for incoming freshmen and folks returning to the marketplace after parenting, career change, or injury rehabilitation. The program involves 80 classes of instruction which result in an associate in science degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting.

As an instructor & tutor of the AutoCAD software program I guide beginners through appropriate use of the software to create “to scale” real-world drawings. Drawings developed are in compliance with the American National Standards Institute’s ( ANSI) Y14 drafting standards and guidelines. 3D design modeling, including 3D printing, scan-based “point cloud” techniques, publishing, and high-level menu system automation round out his skill set.

Hi, my name is Pooya. I've been doing 3D modeling since 2013 and tutoring community college students while still in school. A few years ago, I joined an animation team as a VFX artist to work on the short animation "Let's Eat," alongside artists from Pixar, Dreamworks, and Sony Pictures. I also worked at Apple Inc. for a while, and most recently, I worked on the latest South Park: Snow Day! game as an Environment Artist.

Paul Hensey is an experienced and award-winning landscape & garden designer, in practice for over 25yrs. He lectures and writes extensively on construction for landscapes and gardens and CAD related issues.

Hello! My name is Calvin. I’m an architectural designer with a Masters degree in Architecture and Building Technology from Yale Univeristy. I currently work at an international architecture firm, and have past experience in everything from fabrication shops to parametric design firms. I grew up playing music, always learning and playing new instruments. When I discovered the field of architecture, I started to see technology as an instrument by which we could create a more beautiful world. From parametrics to game design, I’m proficient in a number of architectural, rendering, data visualization, graphic design, robotics, sound engineering, and animation softwares. Vladimir Simonovski is a structural engineer and co-founder of a structural consulting company comprised of highly skilled engineers, designers, and forward-thinkers. Prior to co-starting his own company, Vladimir gathered extensive design and construction knowledge and experience by working on high-profile infrastructure projects around the U.S. On some projects, his experience was gathered by being a part of the design team, and on other projects Vladimir made his presence known in the field by directly getting involved in construction as part of the construction team. This balanced mix of experience, coupled with a strong work ethic, gave Vladimir the outlet for his interest in reinventing how problems are viewed and finding solutions by utilizing technologies such as 3D modeling, virtual reality, 3D printing, scanning, implementation of new materials, and more.

His enthusiasm can be seen from the numerous three-dimensional modeling manuals that he has prepared over the years. Vladimir has conducted training for construction companies on the effective use of the SketchUp application and how it can fill the effectiveness gap where other CAD applications cannot. During these training sessions, a special emphasis is given to the idea of Information Modeling and proper organization in the heavy civil industry. Additionally, his 3D modeling work was published by the American Society of Civil Engineers – ASCE, under the practice periodicals on structural design and construction. Additionally, Vladimir also published a book titled SketchUp for Civil Engineering and the Heavy Construction Industry: Modeling Workflow and Problem Solving for Design and Construction, where a large number of everyday uses for SketchUp in the construction industry were compiled in an easy-to-use manual.

VBA programming can shorten your work time and save space on your computer by reducing the number of part files. VBA is easier than you think and even the basics can improve working time. I’ve designed rubber and metal keypads using dome switches, conductive rubber and piezo elements. I’ve worked on industrial, medical, commercial, automotive and instrumental projects large and small.
